I think it depends on how much bass you want. I've found my little 80 watt powered sub to be adequate in most cases. It won't punch you in your seat and make your heart pound though. 200 watts would be ideal for me, I think - Planning to get an Infinity Basslink later.

Honestly looking just for a single 10 that can provide a good strong delivery of lows.

I'm a *** to this so not sure the wattage I shud kook for or coils or even of ohms matter. Want the woofer to go I'm the opening near the front of trunk.

Thanks for the help fellas

Where are you located?

One or two 10" subs would suffice, and 500W RMS or less total.

What price range are you looking at? Your request could be done for $200 with used equipment and doing it all yourself, to over $2k.

I bought a refurbished Boston Acoustics GTA-400M directly from them. It worked great & I had no issues with it. I paid $99 for it. It's a great amp for the money, & it accepts speaker level inputs. Go to their website & look for it under their refurbished section.

There are a couple of boston enclosures on eBay. They are a good bang for your buck & will match up great with the GTA-400M. The first one has 2 10" subs & is $199. The second one has an upgraded sub & is $199, this was the one I had paired up with the GTA-400M. It provided plenty of low end punch & sounded nice.

Looking to spend no more then 200 on sub and amp. Have a friend at bb so his discount helps.

Amps I'm looking at
Polk audio 800 w
Kicker cx series 1600 w
Alpine 500w

Subwoofers
Looking at either
Harman (jbl) or kicker
Anyone have any suggestions?

All purchased for under 200 brand new.

So I ended up getting tins installed along with the woofer. Ended up buying a box from costco and getting everything done. Will post pics later today.

I think I may have caught the mod bug
