I was getting a 2 1/4 ton compact jack with jackstands from a dude I know and was wondering it this will be enough to lift the max. Anyone know? I can't seem to find my Manual.

yes. the gxe is around 2900 lbs and the fattest gle/130 should weigh in at about 3200/3500 lbs. 2¼ tons is 4500 lbs.

yea the GLE is the fattest one, but... i doubt it's got 300-500 lbs on the other models!!!!

To think of it, the fully loaded SE is probably heavier then a GLE. Since it got the heavier wheels, spoiler, fogs...

i'd say there is a 150 lbs difference between the nakked GXE over a GLE/loaded SE.

Not that these weights are always totally accurate, but www.nada.com lists the 96 GXE at 2886 (lightest) and the 97 GLE at 3097 (heaviest). Thats according to that website.
