Tail light fuse = brake light fuse. Check and replace. Sould be under the hood IIRC.

EDIT: ^ Incorrect.

ChrisMan - you've got this confused with something else, brake lights and tail lights do not use the same fuse.

The tail lights use fuse # 5, 7.5 amps. this fuse also powers the dash lights and the door chime.
The brake lights use fuse # 10, 15 amp. This fuse also powers the cruise control and the ABS unit.

Both fuses are in the dash fuse block, to the left of the steering column.
Fuse # 5 is in the left-most column, 5th one up from the bottom.
Fuse # 10 is also in the left-most column, 10th one up from the bottom.

Don't rule out the switch on the brake pedal or the bulbs.
