Door Hinges are weak?

Does anyone else experience the doors(particularly driver side and passenger side front door) always closing on you even when you are sitting on flat ground and not even an incline? My door will not stay open! I'm trying to get out of the car and door is closing on me because I guess the hinges are weak or something! I have a 2009 Sport edtion.

Anyone else?

You might check the two bolts that hold the closing cam (black bar) that's in the center of the front part of the door. Your door rides on this and provides the friction to keep the door open. The two bolts came loose on my Frontier and had the same problem. Tightened them up and the door stays open.

I always back up on inclines for this reason lol. Mine open for a bit but if a little wind hits it, its shutting.

Thanks Richard66, my door closes on level ground too which is a pain. I'll try tightening the srews on the arm, hopefully that will do the trick.

Ahh Ha so I'm not the only one! I took a look at what Richard66 said and Im having trouble finding what exactly I need to tighten but I will take a look again and see if I can figure it out.

I think it may be a ghost unfortunately. They do that because the house you live in used to be a dirt road and the children would ride their bikes there. They've gotten so accustomed to the car that they close the doors and then get on their bikes to avoid running into the door.

Side note: don't you just love the sound of our door when it closes? I have had people compliment on that. I know it sounds weird but it's such a full and appealing sound.

NO progress on this end. I couldn't find anything to tighten up and my doors are still doing the same thing. Sitting on flat ground and here it comes slamming my leg in the door. I don't know what to do.
