Hover Max - why you should get an alarm

I'm posting this in behalf of Mattattax, whom some of you may already know, just had his wheels stolen last week.

thanks mike
as far as i know everything is fine and my neighbor (with excess car knowledge)said the cinder blocks were placed in the 'appropriate' position, if there is such a thing

if you don't have one, please get an alarm, especially if you don't have insurance covering a thing like this, i live in a fairly nice neighborhood so this can happen anywhere and it could've been worse, God i can't wit till i get my Pilots put on

just dont connect the alarm to the HIDs. connect it to the running lights or turn signals or nothing at all.

You should park your max real close to your other car so it's impossible to get the passenger side wheels. They'll probably leave the car alone because they would only get 2 wheels. My dad started doing this when I told people were getting their lights and wheels stolen. ***Or maybe get those car boots cops put on cars

or just take a couple if the wheels with you when you park the car. like bike riders taking their front wheel off when they chain it to a pole.

Alarm is not gona help

Unless the alarm is connected with an extrealy sensitive shock sensor or motion sensor, it's not even gona cherp when they jack your rims. Best bet is go with lock nuts...4 different sets...and hide the keys.

shock sensors should have an adjustment **** on it. if you want, you can set it to be really sensitive or even "pretty" sensitive. my alarm goes off when someone kicks my tire. if someone were to jack up my car im pretty sure it would go off. I THINK the sensors work on a level type system. it gets tripped when it become unbalanced, so if someone lifts up one side of your car then the sensor will notice and should go off. thats just my theory. i reserve the right to be totally wrong.

if any one you have played half life, you would know about the tech on it. it builds a motion sensitive 50 cal. anything that moves, it blows away,,,,,,but then the car will have big holes in it

Well, if the shock sensor works that way...then it should be okay...but since I live by train tracks, unless I want my windows bashed in every time a train rides by because my alarm is going off non-stop...i will stick to my lock nuts

Houston, TX. From what i've read it's the Acura's that are getting their HID's stolen over here primarily because it's easy to get it off. If i remember correctly it's just about unhooking the bumper halfway and you can just slide off the housing after taking off some holding pins of some sort.

When you park, turn your front wheels all the way in one direction. This will cause them unable to get the front wheels off the car due to not enough room. It works. Just make sure you lock the wheel after removing the key.
