Looking to put a walbro fuel pump in my other Maxima, its stock but i plan to mod it in the future ...Just want to prep it for a dek or 3.5 swap. Thanks for all the help org'ers

 

Yep, as long as you can control the fuel pressure you'll be fine.

It does NOT put out higher fuel pressure.

The pump is capable of higher flow at the same fuel pressure.

Not necessary unless your car requires aftermarket injectors.

Putting a walbro pump on a factory system can only cause the car to run rich. I have used walbro pumps and love them but they have their place and it's not when you have no need to push that much fuel through the lines.

I suppose it also depends on the flow rate of the pump in question, but the most common that is asked about is the 255lph unit. I've used that flow rate on 2 cars before and one had 400cc injectors and the other had 550's. Even so, there's a good bit of tuning that must be done to balance out the AFR to get everything working well.

Long story short, since I'm now rambling, it's a great pump especially if you're planning a nice dek or VQ35 build but I don't recommend throwing on a factory setup.

There is the 255 pump and there is the 255HP pump. You should get the HP model.
