i just got off the phone with stillen and they just came out with the body kit for 2k2s--they are $949 for those interested--maybe one day i'll have that kind of $$$$$$--i haven't seen 'em yet so can't comment on how they look, but maybe some of the guys here will get one and post pics

he said their was a pic of a 2k2 sterling mist max in a stillen mag or something like that, now that i think about it i really want to see how it looks too, let me know if you find anything out

i just got back from barnes 'n' noble's and it's a damn 2k-2k1 kit listed as a 2k2 kit, the max in the pic is a 2k1 and as we all know (except for stillen)they are different

i'm calling them right now to complain

i called and talked to a guy at Stillen and he said they test fitted the 2k1 kit on the 2k2 and it IS the same, people here at the .org were saying it would not fit, strange, but call stillen if ya want it

 

those who said it wouldnt fit said the foglights on the 2k2 would be too big for that part of the 2k/2k1 body kit. if anyone can check out both models its either, are they too big or arent they?

 

they must be the same if the 2k1 kit fits on the 2k2, i feel like an idiot now for going all the way to barnes 'n' nobles and then calling Stillen to complain

 

i doubt they would fit cuz the different facia. oh well, i guess i'll have to pay stillen a visit tomorrow.

the 2k and 2k1 kit cant fit the 2k2. the bottom valance on the 2k2 is wider than the 2k/2k1. i guess i need proof from stillen.

 

There is no 2k2 Max pic in the Stillen SCC issue add. March 2002 is what I have, its the new one. It has the 2k1 with that big front end which will work on a 2k2 as well. He probably is saying that.

 

The fogs are much bigger on the 2k2. I already looked and compared. The front lip slides under the fog light, and you can't even get the fog light out with it on. Tried on TheNewClimax car already...

 

From what Stillen told me, the sides and rear pieces are the same between 00/01 and 02 models. The front lower lip won't fit.

okay, so the front lip wont fit im assuming. but what about the stillen "front facia"? maybe thats what he/she meant. it looks like that would fit since it replaces everything below the hood and headlights. its ugly so that better not be the only thing stillen will offer for the 2k2.

 

The 2000-2001{and 2002} subaru front end conversion will fit the 2002 max.

I talked to my guy at Stillen about a month ago and he said there should be a new front lip out in about 30 day's. I'm in no rush since I am broke and I don't want to put a body kit on in the middle of the winter.

 

I can't remember who, but another .org member posted this pic of the Stillen Front Fascia on a Black SE. I think it looks pretty good on dark cars not the light ones. I made a link below, I hope it works.

yeah that actually doesnt look that bad at all. the picture stillen has on their website doesnt look nearly that good. its still too much for my taste though.

 

hmmm if that kit fits a 2002...and its polyurethane..id so get that instead of the fibeglass ninja kit....choices choices

 

The only thing different is the front end of the 2002 maxima from the 2000-2001 maxima. It's the only thing they say was different on the car on there website.

Stillen must have hired idiots to man the phone. Who did you talk to a Stillen? I want to be sure that I avoid that person the next time I call them for something.

NO it wasnt they told me the same thing but i realized that it was different before i even asked i guess they mean the ENTIRE fron fascia and sides and rear will fit not just the LIP like i as well was told... they also told me that the tokico blues from my 2k1 wouldnt fit but IT DOES..... it accually feels better than the 2k1 did!!! that stillen for u they gots the parts just not the peeps!!!

 

ok guys, i visited stillen today and this is wat i got:

- NO, the 00-01 Front LIP will not fit 02.

- Yes, the front FACIA will fit 00-02.

- Yes, just like emax said, there is a new Front LIP for 02 being develope. It SHOULD/MIGHT be out in 2 weeks. It SHOULD/MIGHT cost around the same as the 00-01 lip.

 

It might be that the guy you spoke to at Stillen may not know.
I spoke wit Adam Hume and he said that the 2000-2001 Maxima front lip will NOT fit the 2002 Maxima. He also said that Stillen had no interested in making one for the Max for the focus is on the Altima and 350Z. He did say that the rest of the kit (side skirts & rear valence) will fit the 2002 correctly!

I don't know if this guy is knows or is assuming that you will be willing to go through the hassle to mold it and FORCE-FIT the kit to your car!

I'd want a written guarantee from them that the kit will fit perfectly on the 2002.

I wasn't saying the front bumper was the same I know they are different but you look at the sides and the rear and they look the same. If I am wrong so be it Haven't seen 2k2 max up close.
