My vote goes to Meguiar's NXT 2.0 for a easy good wax plus swirl removal.

OMG heck yea! Hands down the best wax I've ever used. Too bad that I haven't been able to find it recently...

I'm personally digging the Meguiars Black Wax myself....it almost seems to bring more black out of the crimson black in my case too!

i find all waxes about the same. I have a shelf with 10 different ones and if you put a gun to my head and ask me which one has been used I can't tell you to save my life. The one product I can definitely tell has been used is liquid glass. No wax can do anything like that. One month after application, the car still shines. I have never seen something like this.

As for swirl marks.. the more I try to get them out the worse it gets. You can't see them even in sunlight, but in my garage with the fluorescent bulbs right on top of the hood.. it looks bad.

+1 BTW amazon has it for $15.97
AND if you have a pearl white like me check out the meguiars white wax. Also great for light colored vehicles. Little on the pricier side tho but amazon has it on sale usually.

I've tried about all of them. Mequiers, Mothers, Turtle Wax, etc. I keep going back to Nufinish as seems to do the best job and last the longest.

Last Saturday I detailed, washed, clay barred, polished and waxed all using Meguiar's products and I topped it with Meguiar's Ultimate Liquid Wax. Amazing shine and it has done nothing but rain since and my car still looks very clean. Even most of the dirt just rolls off. Great stuff and was easy to apply as well.

I've always used Meguiar's products on my 5.5 gen. Either Gold Class or Ultimate. Always been happy with the results.

it wont help swirls but as a detailer and enthusiast i LOVE pinnacle sovereign pure. its not cheap but its worth every penny.

Sounds like the max needs some high speed polisher attn. 3M makes some fantastic swirl removers. Black is tricky though and i wouldnt recommend it if you've never done it before.

I'd go with meguiars swirl remover THEN wax (at that point, dont use a cleaner wax either). I'm not a fan of liquid waxes but to each his own. GL.

I am using Meguiars Ultimate Paste Wax ( a Polymer sealant) on my new 14 Max and am very pleased. It applies and removes easily. I've also used Eagle One Nano on my previous black 04 Max with great results also. I waxed my new one in March and it stills has a blinding shine...Of course it is garaged kept and I'm retired

Removal of swirl marks will require a claying, compounding, and polishing. Then to finish it off, a glaze and wax. There are two different types of waxes such as carnuba and synthetics. Synthetics are usually classified as sealants, and these are built for longevity but will usually not be able to compare to carnuba in terms of shine, gloss, etc. Carnuba on the other hand are built to shine, be glossy and make your paint look wet. The downfall to carnuba is that it has a low durability and will usually be bound to dusting from just about anything in the air. So consider your options, your needs, and plan of attack. Always start with the least aggressive action to remove the swirls, then protect it to prevent it from appearing back. A lot of these swirls occur from improper washing and drying!

I personally used Meguiar's Ultimate Quikwax before on my old vehicle and for the first wash on my Maxima. The durability was great and the shine was there. However, I wanted something that was more glossy since silver is very difficult to make it look wet. I am now using DP Poli-Seal now (sealant) and it is designed to have a 6 month lasting time. We'll see how it goes, but it does not stain plastic trims or anything. Easy to take off, and so far has lasted through two downpours and heatwave of the bi-polar Houston weather.

Refer to post above. I also wanted to include that many OTC waxes have cleaners or fillers. These waxes have tiny abrasives that will remove the surface of the clearcoat to level out the surface to remove these swirls. There are advantages and disadvantages to these types of waxes. The benefit is obviously the effects of the swirls are lessened and can sometimes skip the step of claying your car completely. This saves time, obviously, and product. The disappointing is that these waxes are only temporary, and after a wash or two, the fillers of the wax (used to fill the cracks and crevices of the swirl marks) will be gone and the swirl marks will reappear. Sometimes worse than before due to the microabrasives from the cleaner.

You don't won't wax, you need a paint sealant. It's the beginning of summer that carnauba wax will just burn off because of the heat of the sun in the summer. Get a paint sealant not wax.

Check out Adams paint sealant on you tube. It's pretty awesome. Works magic on my matte black rims too, I never need more than a few drops of dawn in water and my microfiber mitt to clean the crud right off. It's amazingly simple to use.

IIRC, using dish detergent will remove any wax you applied. You should be using a car wash liquid.

I use it on my matte black wheels not my paint dude. It is what was recommended from manufacturer. U can't use wax or harsh cleaners on matte finishes or it stains the finish. Dawn and Adams paint sealant is the perfect combo for cleaning and protecting matte finishes.
I only use quality car wash soap to clean my car.
