broke caliper bolt help

broke caliper bolt help

Please help guys I cant get the slider out of the bracket and the bolt if broke off in the there ,do i need a new bracket? i have been pounding on it and nothing , any help would be great .

if the slider is seized, the best thing is to heat it up with a torch and try to get it out with vise grips. once you get it off, you grind away the corrosion on the slider, grease it, and its good to go

if you broke off the bolt to the slider, might be a bit of a nightmare. would be best to just hit the junkyard and get a new bracket for 10 bucks or whatever

Remove the entire torque member with the caliper....and it might be easier to work on.

Just replace the bracket. Getting a torch and heating it up to get out will be more work in the long run.
