I start getting problem to start my new 2000 maxima bought a couple of week ago on clearance.

It happened since yesterday. The temperature was around 54F in the garage in the morning. After I pushed the gas pedal after many tries , it started. Today, I just cannot start it even I pushed the gas pedal. The road assistance said it was alarm/key problem and the battery is good. But I feel it could be something with the temperature. After the car gets started the first time, it won't fail to start again in the same day when the engine could be still warm.Gee.. it's a new car..

Is there any similar issue with 2000 maxima and what shall I do about it?

and pumping the gas does not help with fuel injected cars so don't waste your time that trick yousta work but only on Carbuerated cars.

 

Don't pump the gas pedal! That only works on carbuerated cars! Actually, my dad is so used to pumping the gas pedal when he starts a car, that when he got into mine, he started pumping the pedal and as soon as it started it backfired and died! Not to mention how bad it must be to rev the motor while it is cold!

The best thing that you can do is to turn the key to the "on" position, but not start, and wait about 10 sec., then start the car. That way it gives time for the fuel pump to prime and pressurize the fuel line.

 

not your remote..but your car..they tend to go a little dead on cold days =)
