2000 max signal/hazards randomly stop working

ive got a 2000 gxe and just recently my turn signals stopped working.
If im at a light waiting to turn I can leave the swictch pushed up or down and after 20sec it will start flashing. Then sometimes they operate normally its a PITA. I look like im cutting people off all day and i dont care lol. Can anyone tell me where and what color the realay is?
BTW when malfunctioning the hazards will not work either so i kno it isnt the switch. any help will be greatly appreciated

Follow the clicking.

I'm not 100% on your year, but on my 4th gen it's behind the plastic guard under the steering wheel above your right knee and secured with a bracket and one bolt.

I wouldn't doubt if placement is the same on your car.

The flasher unit Fakie mentioned is a good possibility and so is the hazard flasher switch as the turn signal wiring circuit goes through it.
