I am BACK! My 2011 Maxima

A deer recently took out my 2000 Grey Luster Maxima and I was afraid that this was it for me and Maxima's but NO. My wife to my surprise loved the new model year of the Maxima over the Lexus Es She originally wanted and of course I was more than happy to search for one.

Well, here she is, Burgundy Premium Package loaded.

Well, I have 100k Warranty on the block, the car was a CPO

BigIrsh: That is sick and I am jealous. But if I could I would buy my friends R350 you see in the back ground. He allowed me to borrow it while I was on the hunt for a car.
So for his kindness I Detailed his whole car with a single buffer pass hardly swirl free but it looks WAY better. I did the carpet too.

I am trying to resist the urge NOT to put sand paper to my whole car to get that Mirror finish like I did before.

Good deal. Maybe I should drive to you for a detail. I'm a hand wash guy but never waxed cars nowadays with great metallic fleck and clears I don't think they need it like they used to... Plus I'm sure I don't want to take the time to do it and I would burn through the clear with an orbital!!!

LOL, I would rather you pay someone the money near you to do it before you drove to Georgia. That SUV took me 3 days to do and I only did one pass with the polisher and it's FAR from what i call "Nice"

Wax is only to protect your finish and it will not put a shine on your car, it's only a temp solution. Try this the next time after your first wash.

http://www.amazon.com/Nanoskin-AS-01...words=nanoskin

Do a wash first THEN get a clean bucket of soap water and use the black side to "decontaminate" your car, which will pull all the dirt particle from your paint. Trust me, this alone will make your car looks real nice before you add a quality wax.

I will do a write-up on "claying / Nanoskin" your car.

Thanks a lot, just for the Claying / Nano Skin part I will do it on saturday. I think it is something everyone can do on the cheap and you will see instant results. Then later on I will take out the buffer machine. Keep in mind, there are millions of videos on youtube about this. Search "Car claying" and invest in some quality microfiber towels.

When you use the Nanoskin or clay bar, you will notice the paint has a grainy feeling to it, as you gently run it with the Clay bar or Nanoskin you will feel the paint get smoother and no, this is not sanding your car or leveling the clear coat and almost to no pressure is needed. As it gets smoother move on, just ALWAYS keep the area lubricated with soapy water. Don't by into the hype of buying some fancy clay lubricant, soap and water will do fine. Ugh, notice i can talk about this all day.

Again, thanks a lot guys can't wait to contribute to the 7th gen family.

I will post pictures of the R350 Benz tomorrow and the before and after of the inside.

BRAND NEW off the lot the car is full of microscopic trash in the paint, if they "detailed" your car before delivery you better bet your *** you better do it. When they wash your car for you it will make the paint worse because rest assured they are not using the best techniques to clean your car and prevent putting addition swirls in your finish. Go look at your car paint and look at a panel from an angle until you start to see the swirls. Claying won't help with swirls but it will remove a lot of in bedded grim.

My New/used car paint is pretty good but it's fully of holograms from them trying to polish it with a wool pad. Not a problem for me as I can remove this problem.

I will take you up on that offer! Are you on any of the facebook groups(2009-2013 Nissan Maxima - 7th Gen A35)? That group is a little more lively than this page especially when it comes to asking questions and getting quick responses.

It's even worse if the dealer has a drive through swirl inducing wash. I specifically put in writing for my dealer not to wash my car prior to it being delivered. I got mine all detailed last weekend, and it's sealed with some Blackfire Wet Diamond

Very nice, I'm going to detail my brother Oddessy Minivan and besides using an Opti coat 2.0 paint sealant, i'm trying to figure which wax to put on top of it to give it depth. But your post is WORTHLESS without pictures

I really want to Opti Coat my Maxima, you can't beat the durability of it. I've heard that a lot of people use Optimum Car Wax over OC 2.0 to add some more gloss and depth. I'll be interested to see what you see choose and how it turns out.

I really need to do a proper photoshoot with my Maxima. The only pics I have of it are on a cloudy day after I got it all sealed, and Pearl White is not good at showing depth and reflections at all. My other car, which is red, looks amazing with BFWD on it. I'll try and get some good pics of the Max tomorrow if it's sunny out.

Sorry guys, but I thought I had my DSLR camera with me and I couldn't find it until today and I have this little POS Point and shoot Camera and Honestly, I don't even want to post those pictures. I will direct you all to great Youtube video's on this topic. Trust me i'm upset because the car looks great but the pictures look like $hit.
I did find my Nikon and I will take some after pictures and post those and some of the importance of a two bucket wash.

I always like his reviews on products.

I don't know if you would be able to tell how much cleaner the paint look but it is and I did not put a buffer to the paint yet and it has A LOT of swirls in the paint.

The paint on the car was already in great shape, But after I Nanoskined the car a lot more swirls were reviled since it removes the imbedded wax that filled in the swirl marks. So maybe in a couple of weeks I will buff the whole car and seal the paint. This weekend I will be detailing my brother's Van and I will post it in the Detail section.

Looks nice. Good job. So can you clay or nano and wait a week to buff and seal? I'll be very interested in the detail section.

Typically I would buff right after I clay. Some Detailers would wash their car again after claying dry then buff. I will would be surprised when I do buff this car out and seal it if it get's that much shiner because it in really good condition, except the front bumper.
