Scary noise from my 2006 Maxima

Good Morning from a newbie.
My 2006 Maxima has only 107Kl.When accelerating there is a noise that I can only describe as drilling sound as if the drill is drilling metal. My mate says it sound like chains rattling softly!!!!

Any thoughts from you folks as I'm sure the dealer is going to tell me all sorts of bad news.
Many thanks for your time.

two questions when is the last time you had an oil change and when is the last time you had your timing chain checked?

Either one of two things you're short on oil/needs to add some or change it or your timing chain which is the thing around here is going out!

I know the rattling sound because I went through it and changing the oil solved it.

check the oil level. does it sound like its coming from the engine or wheels?

if its coming from the wheels it could be a wheel bearing or the backing plate rubbing. engine it could be a pulley or something

Thank you guys

Have the oil changed every 5600K so I know it's not the oil.
Will have dealer check the timing. I was just concerned with all concerns about the transmission on the 2006 that the dealer would stitch me up for a new transmission.
The noise seem to come from underneath the car, but I'll get the timing checked. Hope it's not the bearings, as I've said 107K. Bit early for Bearings????

Apart from this, and the fact it's a gas guzzler and the turning ratio of the Titanic, I've really enjoyed this car.

Thanks Again
Les
