Hey guys,

I have a 2013 Maxima 3.5S. Love the car. My only issue is when I drive in sport mode and give it some go it automatically shifts into neutral. I am not sure if I am doing something wrong, or if this is a known issue, or perhaps I need to take it in?

Any help would be appreciated. It does this only in sport mode and every so often in manual mode.

 

There is something wrong if it is shifting to neutral by itself. You need to take it in.

 

Agreed, the transmission should not be doing that.

 

Today I put it in manual and from 1st when i shifted to second it went to neutral itself again.

 

What happens when you use D mode only? If D mode works without shifting into neutral then I would only use that only until you get the problem fixed otherwise you might find yourself disabled on the road somewhere. More than likely D mode will shortly be effected.

 

D mode is fine for now, I will try to take it in Monday
