Reduce Road noise

I've been searching and reading old post about sound Deadening Tech that has been used in the past. I don't have a system installed nor do I have any plans on doing a Sound system. I am just looking to reduce the road noise that is coming from????? doors? Trunk area? I dunno, you guys with the experience please fill me in on this.

I am looking to Deadening the sound and damping which I understand, damping is what you so with a sound system.

One Thread I found all the picture links are dead.

The OE Goodyear RS-A tires are some of the most noisiest tires ever. If you're due for new tires, consider replacing these as a starting point to increase performance handling and reduce road noise altogether.

It depends on how much you want to spend, and how far you are willing to strip the car to determine the best course of action.
Dynomat or similar mass add vinyl-butyl products are great for low frequency and inconsistent sounds. These can be applied inside the rear fenders, wheel arches, spare tire tub, outer door skins and inner door skins, or the entire car if you felt like it. Sound absorption materials can be placed in pillar cavities, under the carpet, rear shelf. And headliner.

I ran a custom stereo shop a long time ago, and more recently worked in the auto industry supplying sound insulation to OEM production.

Could simply be the tires. I went through a period of using V rated tires. You can only rotate front to back. They sounded quiet when new, but steadily grew louder, even with regular rotations. I think it's because they were always rolling in the same direction.

I have more recently been using omni-directional tires. The fastest I can find so far are H rated which is just about good enough for my car. The advantage of omnidirectional tires is when you rotate, you can change directions. 5000 miles rolling forward, then 5000 miles rolling backwards. Because of that, the tires stay quiet now as they age.

Could be the faulty drivers side mirror that causes excessive wind noise cruising on the high way, I and a few others had this replaced, here's the repair orderName: 859DF5DA-9AD1-4F3E-A0E9-40EDD277F7F5.jpg

Update! I replaced my tires with Mich A/S premier, and yes, the is still loud as Fuq... I guess I have a very low tolerance for road noise.
I know, I know, If I wanted a capsule of quietness I should've went with a higher end car to start with... and that is in the near future plans. To either sell my 07' Maxima or trade my 11' Maxima for a Benz E550 or S550..Leaning towards the E550 right now.

I honestly don't want to start putting down sound reduction crap in my trunk and start lifting up carpets, mostly because I feel it won't make that much of a difference for the cost of that stuff and I will have super high expectations even tough I know I shouldn't and I will be displeased and PISSED...

I gather you have 19" rims and not the OEM 18s?
