Gauge sweep shut off

Could somebody help me out here. I had a battery service done and now my instrument panel gauges do that sweep thing when I start the car. I know that can be turned off but I can't remember how.

Thanks

Who did the service... talk to them... i looked all thru the manual and cant find anything that talks about the sweep. I have had my battery replaced and hadnt had any problem with that particular thing.. good luck.

I know there's a way to turn it off. I did it back when I first got the car but for the life of me I can't remember how I did it. I took a look through the manual but couldn't find anything. Poked around the settings and no luck there either. As soon as someone tells me it will be one of those ahah moments.

It's in the settings in the dash display where you set your oil and tire reminders, I believe it's called "Dial Effects"

At least that's where it's at on the S model with the Amber screen. I would assume it would be the same for the SV with the color display also.

Just wondering, do you guys not like that? I think it's cool, but my gripe is that Nissan made the MPH gauge a little too large (or optimistic with the 160 MPH end) that it only sweeps up to 150 MPH. The same 'function's are in the Audi models, except their sweep is about 3 times faster than the Max's.

I like it personally. The automation of things in the sv like the steering wheel and seat moving upon entry and exit is awesome.

I like that feature. I use it as a timer when I start the car. I don't take it out of park till the gauges fully sweep.
