Drivers door unlock light

Has anyone noticed if the unlock part of the light switch gas gone out (lower half)? I just noticed this and want to see if it's common .

I'm assuming you are talking about the inside switch on the driver's door that is used to manually lock and unlock the doors.

In the 2009 7th gen, that switch is not illuminated from within, but there is a little obscure light inside the area of the interior door handle that glows down onto the switch. It casts a tad of light onto the 'unlock' (rear end) of the switch, but puts no light on the 'lock' (front end) of the switch.

If you have no light on either part of the switch, then you have a bulb that has gone bad.

I noticed this on my brand new 2014 so I am assuming its just the way they do it. I have the sport/tech.

I guess the unlock is not a concern since it automatically unlocks it when you shut the motor off . I never noticed it . Lol
