Hi all,

My question has to do w the infamous ABS dysfunction that has gotten it's share of press everywhere.... But that doesn't mean sombody, somewhere, sometime may hav stumbled on a solution..be it temp or not, that may work for me right now.
The story: it started w me hearing that dreaded "humm while the engine was off" coming from under the passenger side hood. After determining it was in fact the ABS motor running, I scoured the web looking for a solution short of pulling the battery cable every time I parked my Elite. The closest I came to something tolerable was modifying the engine bay fuse (because pulling the fuse altogether would have taken out functions I didn't wanna do without. I didn't feel like modifying the fuse myself for fear it might put undo/undocumented pressure on somethin else. My mechanic was a man down in the shop, it took him hours to get around to just lookin at it. When I called he said he didn't have time to research what my options were (because I need options as opposed to a expensive plug/play replacement). He said in the meantime he could just disable the ABS and I would just have to deal with "regular brakes" until his garaged was staffed as usual. That being said, I picked it up, drove off and it "felt" okay, I couldnt even tell the difference not having the need for hard braking.
But, the car stalled three times on me, my GPS (which I use all the time) isn't working right and the speedo isn't working at all..which, I think; is resulting in the GPS not working.
So.. Does anybody have any experience with this issue?
I'm interested 1st & foremost if anyone has a reliable work-around for the GPS-Speedo (I think they go hand-in-hand) issue?
