I know I have posted this in the past, but has ANYONE had any experience with Yokohama YK420's? Not sure if this is a southern specific tire offered by Discount Tire or not, but they seem like a good option for $91.00 each. Only tradeoff is they are in a 225 55 17 size. I can live without super tight cornering to get better traction and life than the RE92's for a reasonable cost.

I got kuhmo ecstas for 75 each from tirerack and the shipping was 13 for both. thats 2 day shipping or something. but anyways tehy handle great and the tractions is way better compare to the stock tires. only thing i don't like about them is they seem to pick up everything (dirt and gravel) that is on the pavement. hopefully some of the members that have these will respond. maybe you can check tirerack.com and check out the buyers ratigs for the yokohamas. good luck.

I have the ecstas too. They handle great. Excellent dry traction and wet traction. Snow traction is not great but ok. Great tires for the money.

I agree. can you hear the gravel or little rocks being picked up by the tires. its like going over a street that is being remade or repaved. know what i mean kind of? What tire pressure are you running?

sometimes, but what i am mentioning (gravel) it makes me think that these tires have superb traction because it seems as if it just sticks to the ground so well that it picks up rocks and stuff (not big rocks but like the dirts and stuff)I don't know. I'd have to show you but anyways did you see the pics on my site? i think i sent you a link.
