5th gen trans in 6th gen

5th gen trans in 6th gen

Hey I just found a stupid cheap deal on a 6th gen but the trans is blown I have a working 5th gen trans can I just swap them out and be on my way?

You're probably still going to have to get a decent amount of parts from a 6MT A34. Might be worth it to just stick with a low mileage 5AT.

Wouldn't you need a 5th gen ECU for the 5MT? Which wouldn't work because 6th gen=different motor...

Only way you can make it work is using the 4AT from a 5th gen going into a 6th gen that also had a stock 4AT and thus the correct ECU...

I really don't know, just a wild guess

If it was that easy, way more 6th gens would have good trannies.
