Stillen kit

I've been counting down the days and my stillen kit was finally delivered this evening. Of course, I couldn't wait so I partially installed the two side skirts already - one screw in the front and back only until the wkend, hopefully when I'll have more time to put the adhesive on. The back and especially the front, looks like they are going to require a bit of time. I mocked up the front one and it may even require trimming in the area of the fog lights. They are still deformed from shipping so they are hard to work with right now, but did anyone have to trim theirs?
I don't know how to upload photos of the car......

You don't need any adhesive for the side skirts. Not that you CAN'T use it if you wish, but there's no point.

You shouldn't need to trim anything on it. Although admittedly the kit is very difficult to get on with the foglights in place. Your best bet is to remove the foglights for the front lip install. But then it's a little difficult to get the foglights back on, kind of a catch 22.

Where exactly are you thinking you might need to trim it? I've put kits on three 3rd gens now, and the only time I ever trimmed it was for my intercooler piping clearance and never for any stock fitment purposes.

For what they are they are a very descent kit fitment wise unlike alot of other aftermarket kits that need trimming the stillen kit for the 3rd gens shouldn't need any trimming at all. From what i see your in Florida? Try laying the kit out in the sun for a little while to let it settle back into shape after being folded over in a box during shipping letting it sit in the heat for awhile should also help make it a little more plyable for you to install.

Thx James and ac for confirming no trimming is necessary. I hope to get it installed on the wkend but already, the max is looking a lot different with only the sides installed. Thanks for the tip on not needing the tape even though I think I heard a strange noise when I drove it last night - which I believe could be coming from the skirts rubbing against the doors. There is still only one screw holding the front and the back, so I'll make it permanent when I get a chance and then evaluate if tape is needed.
I'll post updates.

Add more screws and short strand fiberglass bondo which is waterproof (the green one) to cover up your counter sunk screws before priming and painting but like i mentioned lay it out in the heat for a little while before installing.

Ok, I'll do the screws for sure. Not sure about the bondo as I might not be painting them (well, anytime soon).
