Bought the car in the winter so I was able to experience the HVAC. The heater AC works fine as long as I just leave everything on AUTO.

However, on day that is nice just to have outside air temperature coming into car but the sun temperature fools the temp sensor and always turn on AC even if it is not really required.

I tried leaving AUTO on but turned off AC. It still auto adjust the fan but without AC. However, what I found from this car and like previous car (Mazda6) is that it never gets cool air into the vehicle. Only ever hot engine air flow into the vents. Unlike my Hyundai SUV which blows cool ambient air if only fan is on.

Does anyone else notice the same with their 7gen? I am surprise to see a car so big with so much room that they can't get fresh air from a moving vehicle. Yes I know about windows and panoramic roof and such but I like to keep ambience noise down as well.
