What kind of tires do you have on your car?

I am looking at buying new tires because I hit a curb and now the one has a deep cut on it and the other one has a bubble on it but they had low tread anyway so I am looking at buying a whole set of 4 but I really can't spend too much money. What are some not so expensive tires that would be good for my car i have a 2009 sv 245 45 18 I was looking at these they are pretty cheap so I don't know if they are good what do you think?

If you hit a curb hard enough to cut and bubble your tires, i would check under there for any other suspension issues while you are at it my friend...just to be thorough about it. jack your car up and see if you have any play where you are not supposed to or any bent control arms for that matter.

Those Dunlop's from TireRack for $101.00 each seem like a good deal with either the W or Y speed rating.

Looks like there is a shortage at tire rack and most brick and mortar stores here in central Florida. Most saying they expect the 245/45 18s sometime in June. I have a query to Michelin USA to see if they have any comment. I am very close to needing a new set and as these Premier A/S are the replacements for the Primacy MXV4s that I have gotten a little over 200'000 miles on the last two sets on my 09, am looking forward to seeing how these A/S perform (if I can get a set of 4!)

Have had zero problems with these tires. Handle great and quiet.

I too am currently riding on RSA's. When the time comes for new rubber I going to pick up some Continental Extreme Contact DWS's. I'm loving everything I hear about them.

I bought the car used with the RSAs that it came with and they were no good after 32k. They are not good A/S tires. I switched to the Michelin Primacy MXV and I like them. The tread life is good and it does well in the snow. They are a bit pricey though. Just over 1K out the door at Sam's Club.

Happens all the time with tires. Production runs are few and far in between so the whole country runs out for a while. If you can make it till the new batch get here I can't recommend these enough!!!

Thanks for the responses everyone I ended up going with those dunlops that I showed you in the first post just because they were cheap and all the other ones that you mentioned were out of my budget at the moment.. Those came to $480 for the set including shipping so that's not a bad deal they will be here tomorrow hopefully they are good!

I'm at around 13k miles on the stock RSA's. I've done plenty of rain driving, as well as snow driving here - This past winter in CT was pretty brutal and I had a 60 mile round-trip commute almost daily during the week. I drove responsibly and never had an issue with the RSA's. They get a lot of hate on this forum, but my experience with them has been perfectly acceptable.

Any sort of spirited driving & you're pushing it. I am not talking reckless driving. I did not have any confidence in the RSA's. The Nitto Motivos I am currently using are a whole different story.

I get wheel spin about every other puddle I drive into during a rain storm here in Houston. Couple that with the RSAs and the low profile tires, it just about exaggerates that effect. I've had the car since new, rotated the tires every oil change, currently at 10k, and there is no benefit. Tires still read good tread, but it does not inspire any type of confidence in wet weather.

Michelin Primacy MXV4.

Michelin Primacy MXV4.

Had them for 20,000 miles so far so good. Great handling and stopping compared to old RSA goodyear junk.

Tried out the General RT43 from Tirerack - they are still fairly new but I like them a lot. Seem to do real good and they were a good price.
