Looking to buy a 2004-2006 maxima
Hello all!
I used to own a 4th gen silver nissan maxima, and except for the rust the car lasted for over 265 000$ km and I drove it until the exhaust fell off and the frame broke in two. I have (un)fortunately moved on to a chrysler 300 srt8 and that big hunk of a car cannot be winter driven at all, it is dangerous and completely out of control on snowy conditions and highway ramps are always very shaky. I live in Quebec, Canada and I remember that nissan's lose a lot of value and are pretty cheap here in quebec a 2004-2006 maxima is about 2 to maximum 5k and I want to use it for a winter car as I remember my old maxima being a solid performer in winter!
Can you guys tell me what to watch for and what are the trouble spots in these cars?? It is probably going to be the automatic transmission as manual is extremely rare.
Thanks people and I do not want to offend anyone by using this as a winter car and whatnot!! Thanks so much again!!

So is the valvebody really 500$ to buy? Been looking at it on ebay and I do not see anything less than 460, the car I had right now had a similiar issue and was easy to fix for a diy mechanic but the vb was only 120$...
Does anyone know what the specific problem is in the vb? ie: failing solenoids?
Thank you all for your answers!!
