The new "mop and glo"

Stopped by my nearest dealer today as well. The one that uses the old 4-square paper by each sales person. Anyway, I walked inside to see if there was one on the floor. Sales guy pointed to the two they had out in the lot, one white and another black. Both SV.

The white one had the 19" rims, spoiler, illuminated sills, etc for the normal sticker of 40k and change.

The black one had no additional options to speak of, so they added a dealer pack which included:

Door and wheel well protectors (the thin strip of black plastic)
VIN security etching
Wheel locks

Price for the dealer pack: $3995

Total MSRP $40k and change.

Ummmm. Regarding the black one, that thin plastic edge protection and etching and wheel locks are costing around forty times as much as they did last month on the 7th gen. At least they do at your dealer this month. That won't last very long.

Regarding the white one, is that the first SV with 19" wheels we have seen no far? I am a little surprised to see that unusual combo this early in the game.

You must have seen an SR. 19's and the sticker
too high for an SV.

That was my first thought also, but then we never know what Nissan is going to do next. But you are probably correct on the SR.

Sorry, it was an SV with 18" rims. I made a typo.

Note they are too lazy to snap a photo.

And they list three more 2016 Maximas further down the page, but don't tell us which of the five possible models they are.

The dealership I visited here in California is going to put 20in MoMo wheels on it and ask $42k.

I think the $42K would be better spent on a 2016 SR or Platinum. Most of the listed features are standard on the 2010 SV with Premium and Tech packages.

Another dealer nearby had a gorgeous SR with some interesting pinstriping done. The add-on was a mere $2999 without the VIN etching like the other place.

Funny thing was the one they had in stock had the same add-on label, but they hadn't bothered to put on the molding or the pinstripe.
