engine swaps?
hey guys, currently facing timing chain fiasco in my high mileage maxima, so given the miles i have on it im looking into swapping the motor.
my question is, whats a common swap for these if anything? only ones i can find is a straight swap to another vq35de.. but im thinking i wanna do something different if its not gonna be a full dash out rewiring swap.
i have seached but couldnt come up with much more than others asking the same question but no answers.

it has almost 250km on it, it is burning oil not aa huge amount but it does burn it, but this isnt aa dd for me so i wanted to get some decent power gains out of it plus just wanted the project aspect of it as well. just dont wanna get into fabricating and wiring and such.
That's low milage IMHO.

You want gains, get headers and exhaust.
You can also do a VIAS delete and SSIM.

You can go for larger injectors with a larger MAF housing, but that requires tuning.
Tuning is always recommend for getting the best power from your mods anyways.

i know i can get gains with bolt on and such, but not really what i had in mind, i was thinking of a tubo setup if its more practical to keep the motor i have or replace it with another vq35. ive always been a honda guy so im use to being able to flange up near any motor in any car, from what ive been looking up, that doesnt seem to be much of an otion with these like it is for them.
but ive also considered swapping to another vq and supercharger or something along those lines. iunno, im a blank page with these and im open to explore my options with it. either way i have the timing issue and something needs to be done about it.
