Mysterious Substance Leaking

Hello,

I have a 1997 Maxima. I noticed today an unknown substance on my garage floor. It is Blue/Green in color and very pasty and thick. I looked under my car and it is coming from the area around the oil filter. The first time I noticed it was when I was switching from dino oil to AMSOIL synthetic oil and used their engine flush product before switching. After using the flush, I was changing the oil filter and I was covered in the blue/green. I didn't think much of it until i noticed it again today.

Has anyone else experienced this? could it just be a bi-product of the oil flush and switching over to synthetic or is it something else. Thanks for any help!!

Looks like axle grease. Check your boots for rips.

The axle grease should be blackish grayish color.

Inner tripod joints typically use a green grease that's possibly lithium based, while outer rzeppa joints use a black moly based grease.
