can my Maxima have a sporty ride?

I have an 07 maxima with only 46k miles on it and new factory front shocks (just done under warranty). The ride feels sloppy to me with no control around corners and terrible torque steer. I looked around and can't even find a set of Bilsteins for it, though I did find lowering springs.

Has anyone stumbled upon a good combo that they can recommend? I'm looking for something more like a mustang and less like a caddy.

Thanks!

Or, you could do another popular suspension change and go with some kyb-gr2 struts and progress/eibach lowering springs.

I had the lowering springs. Didn't like them. Bought coilovers, and it rides better and handles a LOT better.

Coilovers are struts with springs already on them, and these days just about any make is adjustable. Meaning you can make your ride stiff for racing or autocross. Or, you can make it medium stiff / soft for a comfortable yet planted ride.

Do some research on them read about em, I'm not about to type on essay on why they're amazing when you got all the info you can find about them at your fingertips.

These are what I have: http://www.ebay.com/itm/BC-RACING-BR...pVzS2r&vxp=mtr

Buy these, take them to a custom performance shop that has alot of experience with suspension work and ask them install or do it yourself. They shouldn't charge you over $300, and if they do walk away and find someplace else. Coilovers are not hard to install, so consider watching videos and learning to do it yourself if you're confident.

Lowering springs with GR-2/Excel shocks/struts is a recipe for "not happy."

OP, pricepoint is everything. You gotta pay to play. IMO, a custom Koni Yellow setup with a good set of progressive springs leaves little to be desired. That'll set you back about $800 plus install, and it will outperform almost all coilovers at that pricepoint - probably even a bit higher.
