Test drove a SR today

Hello,

I finally test drove a SR today. All I can say is..wow! The look, the engine power, the exterior and interior are all amazing. I don't really understand what some people are complaining about. I know some are put off by the CVT but to have all the features it has for under 40k is great. My dealer doesn't have the exact one I am looking for but they are working on it and can't wait for my Pearl White with Camel leather and all options! Hopefully less than a month and I'll join the proud SR ranks!

We went with the Max Platinum after coming out of a very noisy 2013 Acura ILX. We shopped the 2015 TLX and could not get a price anywhere near what we got the Maxima for. The TLX has no power tilt tele option or a dual panel sun roof at any level. The Acura navi is the worst user interface forcing you to jiggle a joystick to input destination data. Nissan's interface is far better. Before the ILX, we had a new 2010 Max Tech and really liked the car. Once you get used to the CVT, you are rewarded with decent MPGs. The Acura does have a 9 speed auto on the v6 but saddles that with a complex Variable Cylinder displacement scheme (VCM) that feels like a torque converter would, engaging and dis engaging no a most noticeable manner. Acura has abandoned the spare tire but did not reduce the price. (Now a nearly 400 buck option) Thank you Nissan for keeping the spare in the trunk!
I'm not wild about buying a new model this early but we will see how it pans out. I have 36 months to drive this ride. I love the lighting on the interior, under the rockers, and the kick plates.
