Stroked 3.0 or 3.5 swap?

I recently purchased a 98 5spd with a bad motor, so I have a 3.0 that I'm doing a Lil refreshing too before installing. Now my friends back home are telling me to do a 3.5 swap...Maybe I will but I've also considered rebuilding the blown motor and stroking it, just curious on performance and reliability. !
I'm looking at the following setup (need input):
1. New internals (pistons,rods etc)
2. Different cams
3. Bigger t/body
4. Injectors
5. 00vi intake manifold
6. Jwt ecu
7. Lsd trans
8. Mishimoto Radiator
9. Low temperature thermostat
10 New or upgraded coils
Any ideas or suggestions I'm open to... The Maximas aren't big in my area but I want to make it unique and tear the doors off some hi-performance cars around... American muscle also, even though we have two old schools too... Thanks & Happy Holidays!

I'm looking to add this one to my collection so I want to it be nice on a budget...I paid $250 for it... I'm looking to stay with $1500- $2000 when I'm done, yeah I know it's not much but will continue to add over the years if I can find the parts etc.

VQ35. Dont waste time trying to stroke or whatever with the 3.0, its cheaper to buy and build the VQ35 then to build the 3.0 dollar to hp ratio, that's the fact of the matter. The +09 maximas VQ35 NA is capable of 300whp with basic bolt ons and a tune, you need to throw some form of boost or nitrous at a 3.0 for that. Unless you are in race class the requires the motor to be 3L then there is no reason to stick with the 3.0.

depending on your skill level with tools you can attempt a 6spd swap but it is involved.

read the stickies in the all motor section.
