Well this is day 4 of me having a downpipe, full catback, and Dual sided exhaust.

I was coming home from work in Orlando traffic right before rush hour, but there were still tons of cars everywhere. As I passed an eclipse with those painted #'s on the side of his window (suggesting he went to the track), he saw my exhaust and I guess grinned and then got all over me. Then as that little ricer was tailing me I passed a 99+ Mustang GT. It was a broad driving, so I didn't think she was gonna bother me. I was wrong. All of a sudden she went all aggressive on my azz when she saw the duals.

I'm not done yet. The stang just tried to cut me off and eventually was gone, and the eclipse got off at the next exit. Well here comes a z28. He sees my duals and then all of a sudden he shoots past me and looks at me kinda funny. There was another z28 that did that too! Oh yea, and ANOTHER eclipse. This time it was the new ooglie one. It had altezza's.

It's like it Plsses people off to see nicely done duals on an import sedan

So anyways just on my way home, a 30 minute drive, I get a...

I don't do street racing on the highway, especially in rush hour traffic. I stopped doing it when I almost died in a crash from it.

Anyways, just wanted to vent. I guess Modded Maxima's just **** people off

 

Is that shat loud? Break em' off some Craigy!

 

Is there room to add a resonator in the pipe after the cat? That would quiet things down a bit if you don't like the noise.

 

Yes. Very loud. A very nice deep roar when I start the car, and a deep girgly sound at idle. Also very deep between 1-2k rpms. But under spirited driving or highway, the V6 sound kicks in and the muscle-car noise goes away

It is cool though when I turn O/D off and punch it, then let off and hear the exhaust slowly get deeper. Its really cool.

I am afraid I cannot kick any flava in the z28's or GT's ear.

 

Yes. But I like the loudness. And the resenator robs HP. The Y-pipe is the thing that really made me roar when combined with the catback.

I love it, but hate all these foo's tryin' to "see what i got".

I never understood, do you have a dual exhaust or a dual tip muffler????

Maximarider, when I get my red/clears in a couple days I will have pics. But I donno how to do the video thing. If someone could tell me whats involved i'd love to kick some flava in ya ears. The sound clip proly wouldnt do it good justice unless its a quality device.

Yes, I have a single b-pipe from the cat into a flomasters. Then a pipe wrapped around the spare tire into the other side of the bumper. The flomasters muffler is very thin, and is not noticable AT ALL. All you can see are the nice chrome tips.

All I can say is wait until I upload the pics..

 

he just didn't explain it right.. he bought kirk's dual setup.. 1/3 there 2/3 to go?

I never said dual tipped muffler. And yes it's his setup minus the 3" piping swapped for 2.5", and no resonator. The muffler guy was p!ssed becuase they don't do other peoples custom work, becuase they usually don't fit right on other cars. And he was right. Oh well it ended up fine with a little...ALOT of elbow grease

 

After I get my red/clears I will. Hopefully a video too.

 

i got an idea when ever someone pulls beside you and looks in just glance over at them smile shake your head like there crazy for wanting to race and keep on driving.
this is what i always do the other driver always seems to get annoyed when i do this. hehe
i made some guy get a ticket because after i did this he seemed to just floored it and didn't notice the CHP officer hidding behind a big rig. next thing you know. he get yanked
it works for me but don't let it bug you to much. when they see your car and for some reason they feel the need to test you.

I think I need to get a dual exhaust setup too then. I haven't had that many people try to race me in the entire past year that I've owned my car...

 

Ya well, something about having a 5spd Manual gives you that kinda confidence. 4 speed computer controlled automagic makes me insecure

 

That happened to a 5.0 once. I really wanted to race him but it was on a city street and I had already seen the cop sitting up ahead a few minutes ago (I was delivering pizza so I was on my way back from the delivery). He apparently didnt know about the copper... hehehe

Thanks. In my case it was a guy who hit me off the road. That sobered me up from my invincible state of mind real quick.

Anyways, fellas, I will take some pics when I get davidL's redclear tails. Now, if he kept his word this time then they shoulda been shipped out monday (yesterday). So I will get them proly thursday.
