I know the 97-99 tail lights dont fit the 96 but can i fit them on my 97? I wanted to get these for mine but only fits 96

 

95-96 taillights are different than 97-99 taillights - so No, unless you also change the trunk lid.

 

To expand on Rit's answer, the outer section in the fender will interchange, it is the part in the trunk lid that is shaped different.

 

Get yourself a 95-96 trunk lid and then you can use those tailights. That's what Ptatohed did on his 99.

Nope. He had the crease filled in and feathered to work with the 95-96 tails...

 

... you know you are right... not suprising... but I coulda sworn he went through all that trouble for something small... thought it was the crease... was it because the lights go red/clear vs clear/red? it was something like that...

 

He did all the extra work because he loves having the red on the bottom of the tailight vs the top.

 

Those tails are discontinued OP.
