I don't have a maxima yet so sorry for the silly question. Are the vanity mirrors using different lighting from the rest of the interior? If so, does this make them match up pretty well?

How hard was this to install?

The vanity mirror light is very yellow. The Amazon link shows the bulb looks like an old school glass fuze. The new bulb is ultra white. It's whiter than the led map lights. These things are ridiculously bright.
The install is real easy. You need to pry up on one side of the plastic cover, it just snaps off. On the right side of each bulb, you will notice a small plastic nub. Place a small flat blade screwdriver between the nub and metal end cap of the light and pry it up. It'll just pop out.

Only group that shouldn't make this change are those who have people that often put on makeup in the car. When talking to a lighting person for our house, they said to always keep your bathroom with incandescent bulbs. Their reason was it is more natural when putting on makeup. IDK or care as I don't wear make up... But... the more u know.
