My first time at the track with my new 98 5spd

Well, I didn't hit 14's, but I feel with another trip to the track and some practice that it is very obtainable with this car before I start modding heavily. Anyway, here is the slip:

Not bad for the first time out. Pretty good 60' for the first time. Get that a little lower and you should be in the 14's. What mods are you going to add?

Your 60' was hurtin... with launch improvement you are in 14s easy. A 2.20 60' would put you in the high 14.8 range. Time to get back to the track and practice more...

BTW what was your launch technique.

All the normal bolt ons (all except the UDP). Then this summer or fall I am looking to add a supercharger (would like to see low 14's NA at the track first though).

Yep, I definitely need to get off the line better and perfect my shift points. My best 60' time all night was a 2.251, but I missed 3rd on that run lol

I wasn't revving it up to launch though, and was getting some serious wheel hopping?? I was running 32psi with 225 tires... Soon as those are toast I am going back to the stock 215's.

you should also consider dropping that tire pressure of yours... i leave my rear tires at that pressure and the fronts around 24psi or lower.
