axel, cv joints, inqury

Hey guys. so, i have a question or two..

ok so, clicking noise when i turn left or right...

i know its the cv's... but i was reading a forum thread, i was gonna link it but lost it when i logged in...

the common answer was cv joints, and axels....

,y question is the cv joint and axel the same thing? in that thread, people gave answers of such, cv joints and axels as the same answer. Id like to know exacty so that i can get it. Im fully confident i can do it myself.

someone please clarify. sorry for typos.
thanks a million

Constant Velocity joints are the 2 parts of the axle that allow movement and eventually wear.

Autoparts places will only carry complete axles. CVs can be rebuilt but finding a place is usually difficult. So if your CVs go, the easiest option is to replace the whole axle.

If your axles are original, your best bet is to find a place who can/will rebuild them. Otherwise I've had decent success with Tough One brand.
