I have a weird noise at idle sometimes during a rev coming from where the trans meets the motor. It sounds kind of like a bad bearing sound and it come and goes. Its auto trans and functions normally. Kind of like metal skimming metal noise but its not very loud i would just like to figure it out. Any input would be appreciated. Thanks guys.

 

You're confident that the noise is from the "driver's" side of the e-compartment?

Nonetheless, I'd encourage you to loosen your idler pulley, remove the AC/alternator belt and then run the car to determine if the noise persists.

Your description of what you're hearing sounds quite like a bad idler pulley bearing.
