Air Intake Question

I've seen several reviews that the K&N Air Intake has fitting issues. It seems the heat shield is hitting the shifting mechanism causing people to remove the shield. Others have added spacers and bent the heat shield to eliminate the problem.

Does anyone here have a K&N intake that can give some feedback. Any Stillen Intake owners have issues with the problem I mentioned above?

just get a drop-in K&N panel filter. There is zero performance gains with a CAI (unless you just like that loud intake sound). Google it.
