What spark plugs did you buy, and did you check the GAP on the plugs.

I'm assuming that you have fuel and spark.

You need to have fuel, spark, and compression.

I would borrow a compression guage and learn how to use it.

Please tell us what you compression reading is for that cylinder.

Curious...without a CEL, how did you determine that it was the no. 1 cylinder?

I unplugged the coils on all cylinders and the only on that didn't make the misfire worse was cylinder #1

Mine was misfiring in two of the cylinders back in June this year, was not throwing a CEL. So it ended up being the coils, replaced all 6 with Hitachi coils and no misfires to this day.. all smooth. I hope you are using OEM or hitachi coils cause other coils will cause it to still misfire.

Is there a chance you are getting too much fuel for that cylinder? That could be the sign of a leaking injector o-ring.

NGK platinum is what you want. Iridiums are nice but OE is better.

Is the coil on cylinder 1 an oem coil or aftermarket? Our cars don't like anything that isn't oem. If it is oem.....get ready to rip the uim apart and change that injector. Better yet, do all 3 in the back so you don't have to go back in there when another goes......because trust me, it will happen. Make sure to have insulators on hand, and even a uim gasket, replacement hoses and clamps.
