Smile Can't Decide what to do about Low Beams/Fogs

I finally made the plunge and got a 2017 S (Coulis Red) about a week and a half ago! Have to say I love the car. I have been reading for the past week on this forum what to do about the low beam/Fog Halogen problem. I see some people like the OPT 7 LED but some say the throw isnt that great. I am seeing a lot of people go the HID route. Need some advice on what would be best. I don't need an exact match to the DRL's but I am OCD so close would be great. Any help would be appreciated.

Well I shouldnt have called it a problem. I am referring to the lights being halogen instead of LED. But I am not sure if I should go HID or LED Kit in the low beam and which kit to go with. I know i will go LED in the Fogs but not sure which bulbs.

I went with OPT 7 HID 6000k and love the look.

In term of LEDs, I think LEDs need to be improved a lot. Specially aftermarket leds. I have seen some friends and relatives who tried LEDs and they weren't satisfied and they switched to HID or got the halogen back.

For me I will never get leds till I see a big difference from what is in the market nowadays.

I'm talking about Low beam and high beam only. For fogs I guess leds are fine.

I think people are more worried about the way the lights appear, rather than how well they illuminate what's ahead. The Maxima has a phenomenal set of headlights in regards to illumination.

As far as fog lights...well, they are designed for fog. The offer zero additional illumination over headlamps in normal weather. Most states do not allow the use of fog/driving lights when approaching other vehicles from the rear or front within a prescribed distance. They are not fashion accessories for your car, and they often make it difficult for oncoming drivers to see.

Use them for what they are designed.
