How are the factory front door & tweets wired on a 2k2?
How are the factory front door & tweets wired on a 2k2?
I'm installing the Boston separates I used to have in my '97 into my 2K2. I always use a wiring harness adapter for the speakers so I don't have to run wires through the door jambs. This wasn't a problem on the '97, because I installed the x-overs in the doors by hooking them up to the factory speaker plug with an adpater, then ran wires to the woofers in the stock location and surface-mounted the tweets in the mirror sail panels. In the new car, I want to use the factory A-pillar tweeter locations, but I don't want to run wires through the door jambs. How are the front speakers wired? Do the door speaker and the tweet each have their own pair of wires running off the back of the head unit, or do they run a pair of wires to the door, then splice off that to go to the tweeters?
Thanks,
Jeff
Thanks,
Jeff
