Nitrous fed Auto 1/4 Mile Times...

Just curious to what other autos w/ nitrous are running.

Please let me know what gen & what size shot.

BTW - I am finally posting up one of my times. It is as follows:

R/T - .596
60 - 2.35
330 - 6.09
1/8 - 9.12
mph - 79.81
1000 - 11.56
1/4 - 14.00
mph - 100.06

I hope to improve my time w/ a set of DR's, Catback, & some tuning on the dyno.

Oh man, Synki, you are really really close to breaking into the 13's. Are you coming to Atco tomorrow (Sunday), maybe you can do it then ?

Yep, a 100mph trap speed should be at least a 13.9 run but i am still having traction problems.

How about some better tires? Try using some wider tires if that is possible on the hubs.

Greg: i wont be making it tomorrow (Sun) for Atco. I will be returning when i put my other new mods on.

Yea, i am getting catback & drag radials.

I will be dynoing soon so i can i tune the NOS system to squeeze some more power out of this car.

Yep. My goal is to hit 13's in an auto and produce nice dyno numbers. I wont expect more then 240fwhp & about 260-270fwtq but that is enough power to get a Max to run 13's.

This car can only go so fast before any internal work & that is something im not willing to do. MVIK or a Lightning sounds nice.

Yep, he has a Black 99 L that is chipped, K&N intake, & a bigger TB. He dynoed over 400rwhp and he was running 12.7's & Atco last Sunday. Too bad he ran those times w/ a pair of stock Lightning rims, a huge jack, & tool box in his bed while dragging. Im sure if he dumped it he would be at least a 12.5 now. He was also using M/T DR's.

Did he have his stock rims chained to a telephone pole at the track? I saw a pair.

My ex girlfriend has a 99 L. 12.83@108 is her best, and she just dropped $1500 on some new parts last week. Should be around 12.3@113 when she installs them and gets to the track again.

KMAX98 from Orlando ran spot on that ET, but slower trap speed (14.0@96 mph, 2.08 60 ft) in his 4th gen auto with a 40 shot and an exhaust and 17" street tires. My guess is youre running alot more than a 40 shot!

Are you trying to spray right out of the hole? That would explain your 2.35 60 ft. Try spraying after you get into 2nd gear (or very late into 1st) and youll probably have better luck.

sorry to say it synki.. but bigger wheels will probably help you better.. i know you hate big wheels.. but since you are spinning like crazy.. bigger wheels might help

Yep, maybe i'll go higher.

93_Maxspeed. I am running a .047 jet i believe which is a 100 shot.

DMBMaxima (STeve), i am still feeling your pain.

Sprint, i really dont think bigger is going to help but maybe. Smaller will give me faster acceleration but lower my trap speed. Bigger will give me better top end but that is not what im looking for. I have enough top end, but autos are just plain slow on the start.

I just need my damn Drag Radials.

I thought Sprint suggested to go with a larger rim with more inertia, not a larger overall wheel diameter.

Yea, i talked to him once. I dont understand how he was so fast for only 40 shot. I was running 14.3@97mph on a 50 shot. I mean i only have a CAI, Y-pipe, & Nitrous. Those are my only mods. I know he ran DR's on his 16's. I am on a 100 shot.

I have realized, the more NOS i am trying to use, the harder it is to get better times. 50 shot is probably the best combo for this car.

Mayve you can fill me in on what he had? (PM me perhaps?).

I spray at about 3600rpms in first till the top of 3rd. I dont spray in the 60ft. THat is all NA out of the hole. I have pulled 2.2 before on 15" rims & stock TC but i cant get it any faster unless i put a higher stall TC in.

I have sprayed in 2nd & 3rd & NOT in first and it yeilded me a 14.6 & a 14.5 so far. Not spraying in first has actually hurt me a lot on my times but my trap speeds arent that far off.

Once again, your post has contained no useful or new info. The only thing you seem to be able to contribute, other than simply repeating what others have posted, is poor grammar and bad spelling.
