Digital vs Analog Climate Control Box

Hi there. I was wondering if I can swap out my 98's analog climate control box for an I30 digital model? What changes need to be made?
Reason I want to do this, is I am going with dark burl wood finish and already have installed the dark wood switch covers for my doors.
I have found a wood grain finished climate control box for 98 Maxima, but it's wood is tan in color, and I want dark wood. Only dark wood climate control box I found so far is from the I30.
So, is it an easy swap? Suggestions? Thank you!
I have found all other pieces in dark burl wood for center of dash, just a question of climate control. Oh yea, still looking for clock frame.

I think if you're contemplating this simply for the sake of interior appearance changes, you'll want to stick with the OE control system as the conversion entails much more than just changing out a face plate ...

Thanks, I probably will stick with original.

Yup, it's a lot more complicated than you think...

I love my outside temperature display button (AMB) on the digital climate control.

I'd like to have an outside temperature gauge.
