Driver seat foot protector

I’m not actually sure if that’s what this is, but when I bought my CPO 2016 Maxima there was a cloth loosely hanging in the back where the rear passenger would put his feet. I thought it was just made that way but upon inspecting the passenger side and realizing it did not have a loose cover, I realized I could pull it free and it seems like the other end is meant to attach to something. I haven’t been able to feel what and I feel a little silly taking it in for service for such a small thing. Can anyone help me out?

Wait for your first oil change and have your dealer repair the seat fabric at the same time.

Problem solved.

I just bought a CPO 2016 a few weeks ago. I also noticed the same piece you describe above was loose under the drivers seat. When i discovered it, it was getting dark and I didn't look into it further, but it does appear that the end of it hooks to the bottom side of the seat towards the front. My guess is that it's intended to protect wiring and what-not under the seat.
