No Rear Seat Foot Room behind the driver~!

Don't get me wrong, I love my 2010 Max with Premium/Tech and all options. Where is goes south though is when you have a passenger trying to sit in the back seat behind the driver! It seems that the seat airconditioning ducting all but blocks any chance for the passenger to tuck their toes under the drivers' seat. As a taller driver, I drive with the seat fully extended and at it's lowest setting. Anyone with medium sized feet cannot use the rear seat! I never thought to check this out before buying the car! I'll have to consider this before I replace the car! I don't think the non premium folks have this issue.

Pretty much how my 09 is, I consider it a 2+2, the back is for small people, but Im tall and have the seat reclined and at the lowest, but a lot of cars are like this for me, except the big cars like 7 and Sclass, and the 300/Charger

Room-wise, the 7th gen Maxima is a normal four door family sedan. It doesn't feel as cramped as the G37, for instance.

I'm just 5' 11", but my son and my brother are both 6'2", and neither of them have any trouble sitting behind me as I drive my 7th gen.

The driver's seat in the 7th gen Maxima has a nice long range in adjustable distance from front to rear, but when it is all the way back, it is like over 90% of normal family sedans in that a tall person sitting behind the driver will feel limited in either knee or foot room.

The only reasonably-priced sedan that I have been in that has more knee and foot room in the rear is the 6th gen Maxima.

Good point as I came out of the 6th Gen but was elated with the 7th gen cooled drivers seat. I'm sure the 7th gens without drivers seat cooling would at least allow toe room under the seat though.

When I picked up my 07 back in 09 at a Nissan dealer, I sat down in the 09 to check it out. Was out of my price range, but I acted the part.

I tell ya, that crap under the front seat was one of the few things I didn't like about the car...probably why I didn't buy it...

In all seriousness, I'm shocked that they haven't made alterations over the last few years, because an adequate toe-kick under the front seat for the rear passengers is a must when dealing with adults...

I usually have my seat a ways back as well. 6' tall. What I do when we have other adults in the car, is I move my seat up and sacrifice some of my room. Helps them out a bit.

I did that once. Forgot to turn off my 'exit assist' system, and opened the door with my fairly tall son sitting behind me. Fortunately, there is usually only my wife and I in the car.
