as stated, after finally getting the max running right for the first time in over a year anti-freeze started leaking in the back of the block under the 2 hoses on the firewall, ( new ) and the engine was smoking to the point that i had to pull over and pop the hood to try and see what the hell was going on. i still have code p0443, and just got the car inspected 2 Wednesdays ago and she ran perfect that day. was running the ac and everything was fine and went to drive to work on thursday and then the leak. i bought the 2 throttle body heater hoses and thought i'd be able to fix, but i can't see were they go, anyone have a pic of the 2 coolant lines going to the throttle body, would appreciate that and any ideas about where the ant-freeze is coming from, thanks

 

I would delete those throttle body coolant lines IMHO no matter your climate

The leak could be the heater hose still..either not tight enough or too tight that they cracked the plastic core nipples

don't know if that's the issue, but i looked into that possibility and i know that would be a ***** of a job to do.i can't see where the coolant's coming from and/or how to delete those lines? how to test? anyone have pics for them and a similar issue?

^+1. Coolant issues are generally easy to trace and fix. Besides the coolant lines that run through the TB, don't forget the coolant line that runs through the manifold where the EGR is located. Fill up whatever coolant you lost, start the car, and try to determine the source of the leak by using the mirror. If all else fails, take off the TB and start inspecting all the coolant lines in that area. Inspect the large coolant lines near the passenger firewall associated with the heater core too.

 

As I've mentioned previously, the throttle body coolant hoses attach underneath and onto to tb.

You will need to remove the air cleaner housing and the big black air hose first.

 

There are two smaller and shorter coolant hoses connected to the bottom of the intake manifold by the firewall next to the EGR tube. Parts# 14056NA and 14056NB

now i'm really confused, how many gosh-darn coolant lines are there behind and near the back of the engine? i did the 2 on the firewall, not sure what other ones other than the egr as wiz stated and the 2 under the throttle body?

 

He's talking about the exact same ones that I mentioned in my first post. The U shaped hoses connect to the hard tubes at the back of the manifold at the EGR.
