All 4th Gen Maxima are OBD-2.

This includes the 1995 model.

I briefly had a non-running '95 GXE that ended up being a parts car for my '96 SE, but the '95 definitely did not have an ODBII port in the same place as my '96. I assumed it didn't have one at all. I did find the "consult" plug. If the 95's are OBDII, where is the plug?

The plug is behind the center console. so on the passnger side you will see a small cover on the side of the center console under your glovebox. Then you will see the obd2 port. look at the diagram.

IDK its a 11/94 build date with a 14 pin RECTANGULAR connector on the left hand side by the steering column.

Read what Maxima 97 wrote.

Particularly the middle drawing.

The 95 model has the OBD port on the PASSENGER side.

Looks like it's near the glove box.

Seems like most mechanics don't know this either.
They just look at the Consult port, assume the car is OBD-1, then say no can do.

They are quoting and showing pictures from the Factory Service Manual, and you still have your doubts? About every year or two we get an individual like you that insists they have a OBDI 1995 Maxima. Eventually, they realize it's OBDII after we point out the facts.
