My 97 se 5 speed started getting voltage Peaks so I change out the alternator voltage Peak stop put on the final voltage PK hit about 18 volts on a volt gauge and cause my car to run extremely bad the cars voltage Peaks have stopped but the Miss has continued I've checked coils vacuum fuel injectors spark plugs and all seem to check out okay I'm kind of at a loss on where to go get somebody can give me some insight on this I'd appreciate it no check engine lights that's just got me confused

 

I'd imagine that the 18 volts might have caused some damage.

First question...... what is the voltage you are getting from the new alternator?

How did you test the coils?

 

I am getting 13.6v at idle and I tested the coils with a multi meter the were all within .1 ohms I just got a check engine light for code po1320

 

I change the spark plugs clean the mass airflow sensor with MAF cleaner still nothing different idles a little bit better but it's still sluggish and falls on his face between 2 and 4 Grand Falls on its face but after 4,000 RPMs it seems to come to life but I don't understand can anybody give me any insight
