I watched the press conference. From what I understand with Japanese laws are pretty tough there, and I can not understand why he couldn't contact his wife or any one for that matter. That is unjust, however for financial fraud, seem like Japan is pretty serious with their laws. Can't blame him for what he done, probably knew he isn't going to have a fair trail. I have to applaud him for his ingenuity for his escape.
