I too have a 2017 Platinum and do not have the issue. The problem may be with the card and not the slot. Remove the card and compare it to another sd card. It is possible that the little notch on the side may be defective and not allowing it to catch correctly. My 2 cents.
I have a 2017 SR. The memory card started popping out going over bumps and kept getting worse. I finally just folded a strip of paper and pushed it in on top of the card. So far it’s working. I’m assuming there is a mechanical failure on retaining the card, and dealers would most likely just replace the whole unit.
