Maybe we shoukd start carrying fire extinguishers in our maximas

I know most of us are probably aware of this issue. Found this article pretty interesting. Sounds like nissan doesn't care if your vehicle burns to the ground

All Manufactures have issues... ..... If there is a recall.. You will get a letter... I work for a dealer.. We do hundreds of recalls a year...

Seems like old news to me. The Maxima did have this problem, but the recall was issued years ago now. Nothing to worry about unless you have one of the older models and ignored the recall notice

Have never gotten a recall notice for this and the article says that nissan has no fix, so not completely sure what u mean

I got the recall notice December 2019 for my 2017 maxima sl. Said parts wouldn’t be available till this summer. I haven’t checked to see if the part is now available but haven’t been driving to much with covid

Received a similar notice at about the same time for a 2018 Murano. Nothing further since then.
